Ill get married by this yearend Shweta Tiwari

Shweta Tiwari and Ronit Roy in a love-making scene from Kasautii Zindagii Kay.

In 2007, Shweta Tiwari filed for a divorce from her now ex-husband Raja Choudhary. It was after a five-year-long ordeal that the case finally came through in December 2012. However, in the last few years, Shweta has had the support of her boyfriend, Abhinav Kohli.

Everyone around the

actor assumed that the two would tie the knot once she had officially parted ways with Raja. However, it?s been months since that happened and she hasn?t made any announcement on the wedding front.

What?s stopping her from marrying Abhinav?
?Nothing,? says Shweta, adding, ?My divorce came through in December, and it?s not like I was waiting for it just so I could get married again right away. No date is fixed yet, but I?ll get married by this year-end.?

Be it drama or reality shows, Shweta Tiwari has done it all. Yet, when she bags a new assignment, the actor admits to feeling a child-like excitement. She?s just signed up for a dance show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (JDJ), and is eager to learn on the sets.

After Nach Baliye, now you are in JDJ. What are your chances of winning?
My chances are three out of 10 (laughs). More than winning, I hope I?ll be able to learn a lot. I?ve been part of a few other dance reality shows earlier, but JDJ is a different platform altogether as it has various dance forms in every episode. For a person like me, who only knows four thumkas, this is very tough.

The usual trend is that TV stars or bahus win JDJ as they get most votes. Who is your competition?
The show will not be about winning, but about who provides the most entertainment every week. More than TV stars, I feel with Lauren (Gottlieb, American dancer-actor) around, I don?t have a chance. I just want to come away with more experience in dance, which will stay with me forever. I don?t want to waste this opportunity, or beizzati karaake first round mein out ho jaoongi (I?ll humiliate myself and get eliminated in the first round).

Are you looking at films at all, Hindi or Bhojpuri?
There are only so many hours in the day, and with Parvarrish and now JDJ, where?s the time? I used to do stage shows, but now with JDJ, that has stopped too. I?m always booked for 15-20 stage shows in a month and have ads to do as well.

Do you feel you are in the same league as Smriti Irani and Sakshi Tanwar who are thought of as the most iconic Indian TV stars today?
Smriti and Sakshi are both senior to me. I remember before I started my career, I would watch them on TV. I am junior to them, career and age-wise, so I won?t say I am in their league, but yes, whenever they are mentioned, my name is taken in the same breath too. I feel I have got more than what I expected, and I couldn?t be happier.

QUICK FIVE
One question people ask you all the time? Was Bigg Boss rigged?
This is a question I am fed up of answering.
Ever got negative feedback from fans?
Once a woman told me that I shouldn?t mouth double-meaning dialogues or jokes in Comedy Circus. I took that advice
seriously and refrained from doing so.
The best and worst part of your job?
The worst part is that even if I want, I can?t spend enough time with my daughter, Palak. She?s growing up. The best part is that I get good money, visit new cities and get paid for learning things like dance.
The worst scene you have ever done?
I had to shoot in a dirty pond for a scene in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, when my character Prerna was shown falling into it. We shot the entire night, and the next day, I had rashes all over my body. Yuck.
An actor you feel is good on TV today?
Vivian Dsena as RK in Madhubala is good. He?s become a heartthrob. My daughter likes him. Drashti (Dhami) too is very successful.

Warner to face disciplinary hearing over Twitter rant

Australia opening batsman David Warner will face a disciplinary hearing for his Twitter outburst against two senior Australian cricket journalists, the country's cricket board said on Sunday.
The flamboyant left-handed batsman criticised News Limited journalists Robert Craddock and
Malcolm Conn in an expletive-filled tirade, which grabbed headlines in Australia.

The 26-year-old has been charged with breaking the code of behaviour which pertains to "unbecoming behaviour, regarding comments posted on his Twitter account," Cricket Australia said in a statement.

Several Australian media outlets published Warner's tweets in which he criticised a story by Craddock before he embarked on a running battle with Conn, who had come to the defence of his colleague.

The timing and the date of the hearing will be determined on Monday, the CA statement added.

Selective for me is making an informed choice Prasoon Joshi

Prasoon Joshi has also penned the lyrics for Aamir Khan's directorial venture Taare Zameen Par.

Lyricist-screenwriter Prasoon Joshi talks about his upcoming projects and his idea of romance.

How was it working on Bhaag Milkha Bhaag?s (BMB) script?
It was a great learning experience. My take on Milkha Singh?s life is more humane than about sports. It?s a great story

as he?s a great man. I learnt a lot from his endeavours. What he faced in his life teaches you a lot. He also has a fun side which people don?t know of. It?s a fun, dramatic story.

You have written songs for Prakash Jha?s upcoming film Satyagraha. You will also be using one of your poems, Mashaal.
I have written five songs for his film. My poem will also be made into a song. I have worked with him earlier in Aarakshan. He?s a great person to work with. He makes films only on the subject that he has knowledge about. That?s the best thing about him.

How do you choose your projects?
I do projects that can enrich me. Like while doing Rang De Basanti, I learnt more about the youth of our country. Taare Zameen Par (TZP) taught me how kids think. Again in case of BMB, I had never done a sports film, so I wanted to explore that element. Every project enriches you.

Are you very selective?
Yes, but selective for me is making an informed choice. There has to be a reason. You are not a machine that you can keep writing. You have to have a bit of yourself. Like when I wrote Ma (from TZP), the thought was there?s a child who is left behind which Aamir explained to me beautifully.

Then I explored how I would express that situation. Another composition of mine, Rehna Tu Hai Jaisa Tu (Delhi 6), is my attitude towards love and people related to it which was great.

What kind of romance do you believe in?
It?s a kind of romance which doesn?t exist today. People at the drop of heart are saying I love you. I have always been fascinated by the part of romance where nothing has been said but still everything has been said.

So I wrote Seekho Na Nainon Ki Bhasha Piya? Keh Rahi Tumse Ye Khamoshiyan? (from Ab Ke Sawan). I like that unsaid part of romance. I?m a romantic person by nature.

Besides, bookies invest their ill-gotten money into property or other businesses to make it legitimate. That?s why most of bookies in the country deal in properties because of its huge scope for money laundering.

Probe begins after US commuter trains crash

Two commuter trains packed with rush-hour commuters collided in an accident that sent more than 60 people to the hospital, severely damaged the tracks and threatened to snarl travel in the congested Northeast Corridor in the United States.
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy said five people were
critically injured and one was very critically hurt in Friday evening's crash on the Metro-North Railroad, which serves the northern suburbs of New York City.

Passengers described a chaotic, terrifying scene of crunching metal and flying bodies.

"All I know was I was in the air, hitting seats, bouncing around, flying down the aisle and finally I came to a stop on one seat," Lola Oliver, 49, of Bridgeport, told The Associated Press. "It happened so fast I had no idea what was going on."

About 700 people were on board the Metro-North trains when one heading east from New York City's Grand Central Station to New Haven derailed about 6:10 p.m. just outside Bridgeport, MTA and Bridgeport officials said.

The train was hit by another heading west from New Haven to Grand Central on an adjacent track, MTA spokesman Aaron Donovan said. Some cars on the second train also derailed as a result of the collision.

The nursing supervisor at St. Vincent Medical Center said early Saturday that more than 40 people had been seen and that five patients were remained there, including one in critical condition.

Bridgeport Hospital spokesman John Cappiello said that as of 0600 GMT Saturday about 14 people were still being seen and that two patients were in critical condition.

Malloy said there was extensive damage to the train cars and the track, and it could take until Monday for normal service to be restored. Amtrak, which uses the same rails, suspended service indefinitely between New York and Boston.

Investigators Friday night did not know what caused the first train to derail. Malloy said there was no reason to believe it was anything other than an accident. The National Transportation Safety Board was sending a team to investigate.

The area where the accident happened was already down to two tracks because of repair work, Malloy said. Crews have been working for a long time on the electric power lines above the tracks.
